Speech and Language Therapy - Adults

Speech and Language Therapists assess, diagnose, advise and treat adults with speech, language, communication and or swallowing difficulties. They work closely with family and carers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcome for patients.

Pre referral guidance and advice can be given by telephone if required.

Please note voice difficulty referrals require an ENT referral/assessment prior to SLT intervention (a GP would normally initiate this referral)

Referrals for swallowing difficulties require a referral from a health care professional (e.g. GP, Physiotherapist, Dietician, Nurse)
